Hello, my name is Dwayne Scott and I love Digital Marketing. I’m an MSc Marketing student enrolled at the University of Salford Business School. I developed a passion for Digital Marketing after being introduced by past managers, tutors, and friends. Having obtained a Bachelors in Graphic Design, creating artwork for both print and digital campaigns peeked my interest in Digital Strategy.
Reasons for undergoing this course are; the increase of my marketing knowledge and deeper research the Digital Marketing Feild.
Salford prepares me for this career by providing the knowledge and practical skills needed in marketing. It is also approved by CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing). This approval ensures that I am being taught relevant, reviewed and practical knowledge in today’s competitive and changing economy. The combination of theory and practice helps me understand the knowledge and relevance of Digital Marketing in all fields of work.
The ability to understand and critically evaluate SSMM (Search and Social Media Marketing), focusing specifically on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is a major key in the Digital Marketing world today. SSMM in combination with; Marketing and Services Management, Contemporary Issues in Consumers Research, Marketing International business: Branding, Communication and Relationships and the Business Innovation Project provides a broad foundation of knowledge to assist in Digital Marketing and Digital Strategies.
Most of all, time spent at Salford Business School enables me to be more equip with personal skills such as; time management, planning and prioritizing integral tasks. These skills are equally as important like those mentioned above and are relevant for Salford Business School and for the workforce.
In conclusion, how my time at Salford Business School prepares me for a career in Digital Marketing? It prepares me by integrating various theoretical strategies and practical skills. These skills I can apply to any form of marketing including digital.
